Hotel Review: Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta

The Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta is located at the southern end of the Gold Coast and smack bang on the Queensland and New South Wales border. This means you can end up with a room in Queensland, or one in New South Wales. Add to that daylight savings and a walk from the bathroom to the balcony in some rooms can actually have you gain or lose an hour in mere seconds.

That little quirk aside, Mantra Twin Towns is the ideal place to stay if you’d like to be close to all of the main attractions in Coolangatta and the Tweed Coast. It is perfectly positioned across the road from the famous Greenmount Beach and a short walk to beautiful Rainbow Bay, where the Quicksilver Roxy Pro is held annually at Snapper Rocks. Views from the other side of the hotel stretch across the Tweed River and to Northern New South Wales.

As can be expected with the Mantra Hotel chain, the property has everything you need for any type of stay – from a family getaway to a corporate stay. Within the hotel is a fitness centre and steam room, mini-golf course and games room, two tennis courts, outdoor barbeque area, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, massage service on request, 24 hour reception, concierge and tour desk. Additional services include undercover parking, coin-operated guest laundry, automated teller machinea and wireless internet.

When it comes to dining and entertainment – you only need to walk through the covered walkway and you’re surrounded by restaurants, bars and everything on offer at the Twin Towns Services Club. To see a calendar of upcoming shows at Twin Towns or book you showroom tickets click here. Step outside and within walking distance are surf clubs to enjoy, bars, activities and of course, the beach.

Mantra Twin Towns offers a choice of hotel rooms or apartments, all varying in size and views on offer. All rooms offer a great view – ocean, city or river. As can be expected from Mantra, rooms are beautifully appointed with stylish and comfortable furniture. Hotel rooms are serviced and include a flat-screen TV with cable, direct-dial phones, microwaves and refrigerators. You also have wireless internet (WiFi) in your room, a work station, and everything you need to make yourself comfortable.

Hotel room choices include Studio Room, Hotel Room, Hotel King Suite, Deluxe Room and Deluxe King Suite. The apartments come in one, two and three-bedroom configuration, with a two-bedroom penthouse suite on offer also.

Hot tip: Choose a room with the ocean-view as the sunrise over the beach is simply spectacular, as are the ocean breezes you can catch stood on the balcony.

The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants, cafes and dining choices within walking distance. However, you don’t even need to leave the hotel vicinity to get a range of dining options. All you need to do is walk through the covered walkway and you are surrounded by restaurants, bars and everything on offer at the Twin Towns Services Club. Everything from sumptuous seafood, premium steaks and stylish dining to bistro-style dining or traditional pizzas are on offer.
