Hotel Review: Pullman Luang Prabang

The newly opened 5-star resort, Pullman Luang Prabang, stretches across 16 hectares of beautiful countryside, surrounded by lush paddy fields, rivers and mountains.

A great base to explore the beautiful town of Luang Prabang, the property is fitting for both business and leisure travellers. Situated 10 minutes from downtown, guests can explore the ancient city of Luang Prabang.

Considered to be the cradle of Lao culture and nestled in jungle-clad hills at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, this enchanting destination is the former royal capital of Laos and a beautiful UNESCO City.

The Hotel

Pullman Luang Prabang features three swimming pools, a secluded spa and lakefront restaurant. Business travellers can utilise Luang Prabang’s largest conference centre with state-of-the-art facilities.

It is the largest hotel in Luang Prabang with 123 spacious guest rooms and caters for all types of travellers, including families with its dedicated Kids Club. With rooms being spaced out around the grounds, there is an intimacy to the property even though it is one of the largest in the region. It’s setting amongst the rice paddy fields makes you feel like you are living more local during your stay.

Rooms

You can expect the level of modernity and comfort that Pullman is famous for. All rooms and suites feature a large terrace, connectivity panel, free WiFi, workspace and areas to relax. This has been fused with a local Laotian feel with tastefully decorated rooms.

Room types include the Deluxe Room, Premium Deluxe Room, Deluxe Suite, Premium Deluxe Suite and Villa. Although varying in size, the difference in room types also offer different views – Mountain View, Garden View or Poolside.

The massive bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and a separate bathtub. A private balcony offers a space to sit outside and relax while taking in the gorgeous surroundings.

Dining

At the Pullman Luang Prabang you can enjoy a wide variety of culinary delights offered by the all-day dining restaurant, L’Atelier. The international executive chef combines ingredients from the organic garden and the local communities. The restaurant overlooks the lake and offers dining inside and outside. For a morning coffee or scenic sundowner, try The Junction, the Pullman lobby bar concept: when barista meets bartenders and when morning pastries meet tapestries. The Junction looks over the paddy fields and exotic gardens from an extended outdoor deck.
